- I started having trouble with version 1.0B Trumpet News reader for Windows
- about a month ago. After doing some deep thinking I remembered that is about
- the same time I started using Eudora.
-
- What seems to be happening is if I run Eudora BEFORE I run Trumpet News reader
- I run a good chance of Trumpet causing a general protection fault in
- KRNL386.EXE right after the info box of Trumpet. If I run Eudora After
- starting the news reader every thing seems fine.
-
- Of course one would want to leave Eudora running in the background and not
- have to restart Windows to check out the news groups.
-
- Is anyone else having this problem?
-
- Does anyone have any ideas?

- Are you saying that your IP address is dynamically assigned? If so, does your
- hostname at least remain the same and resolve to your currently connected IP
- address? A user trying to TALK at you must know either the IP address or a
- resolvable hostname for the PC on which Wintalk is running.

- That is exactly what I am saying. Every time that i start a new session of
- Winsock the ip address that my machine uses changes. It is similar to the
- others, but it is different. That is why I want to know how one would get in
- touch with me so we could "talk."
